It’s Not Obvious, But It Is Real

Satan is not a better strategist than God. The battle belongs to the Lord!

Ever felt like there’s a bullseye on the front and back of your shirt and Satan is holding the bow and arrows? While the media and many politicians are busy switching price tags… claiming that wrong is now right and right is absolutely wrong – claiming it’s illegal to kill an endangered animal while promoting the right to snatch life and limb from a baby in the womb… what are we to think?

It’s natural to feel hunted. It’s easy to feel the grip of ungodliness squeezing the life out of us. Satan seems more real, dangerous and unbeatable than he has ever appeared before.

Yet consider this… while Satan plots ruin and destruction, God is always plotting rescue and recovery and, yes, blessing! When all Gideon saw were the 144,000 Midianite soldiers ready to pounce and annihilate God’s people, God was strategizing an unbelievable victory for Israel and a happy ending to that story. (Judges 6-8)

While Israel, in their escape, saw only a watery barrier and a fast trip back to bondage in Egypt, God clearly knew of a road out for them… a pathway no one else had seen. (Exodus 14)

And while Satan held a party with his cohorts to celebrate the elimination of Jesus, he had no idea of the power and policies being resurrected within that tomb. (Mark 16)

There is a new resurrection taking place throughout the earth as I write this. It promises to be a mighty spiritual move of God that will possibly eclipse previous revivals. And if we aren’t careful, we will miss its beginning signs, tuning out God’s Spirit while we fill our ears and hearts with the late breaking stories of the newscasters and not hear the voice of God as He reveals his plans.

Don’t allow yourself to be nudged off center in these amazing days. Tens of millions of believers have been crying out to God for revival but there are many who want you concentrating on everything but what God is about to do and the part you are to play in it.

God expects us to view this world from a higher perspective than others. He wants our ears to hear his Spirit that lives within us and believe the promise that He intends to fulfill.

“… if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray

and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear

from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

II Chronicles 7:14 NIV
