Revival Is Coming Soon!
I am one who unapologetically believes we are in the opening stages of the greatest move of God’s Spirit in a long time (at least in my lifetime.) Not every Christian is looking for or expecting this massive move of God’s Spirit sweeping across our nation and the world.
Some feel the Church is too unworthy, too selfish and sinful. The world itself is far too lost and adrift to see such a revival. But God doesn’t wait for his Body to get perfected – without wrinkles. He doesn’t expect the world to get more righteous before his coming. That’s the whole reason why He sends it. As broken as we are, we are ripe for a renewed baptism of God’s power and anointing!
Believers have been praying for this revival for decades. Today they are currently joined by over 200 million intercessors in over 10 million prayer groups world-wide.
None of those prayers have been wasted… they’ve been filling up the bowls of heaven.
Revelation 8:3-5 NKJV says, “Then another angel, having a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden alter which was before the throne. And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel’s hand. Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and threw it to the earth. And there were noises, thunderings, lightnings, and an earthquake.”
That last verse certainly sounds like God’s approach to our planet.
The promise we stand on is from II Chronicles 7:14 where God promises to respond to the prayers of his people and send a revival that will change nations.
Just like kids at a water park standing under a large bucket slowly filling with water before it tips and pours water on them – so we stand under heaven’s holy buckets waiting for the deluge! We’re not begging, we’re believing.
The darker our world becomes, the easier it is to take God’s promises half-heartedly and skeptically. Believe with the faith that got you into the Kingdom and then kick it up several notches on behalf of the multiplied millions still waiting for God to touch their lives.
We must not dismiss the promises just because their fulfillment hasn’t arrived yet.
The bucket is about to tip!
