I’m Ready Master, Put Me In!

As a soldier, you were born for this battle. Get your gear on!

Two weeks ago, I said that I ‘wanted to live like God was thinking.’ That means I want to be synchronized with heaven’s agenda and time table.

Last week I stated that I believe the greatest harvest/revival in history is beginning… and I want to be in the middle of those events in any way possible. Now if you’ve begun to believe and welcome God’s great movement in our day, here’s the next big question:

How can we find ourselves in the right place, at precisely the right moment, and have available the right words or actions called for?

Simple answer – we can’t. Unless God’s Holy Spirit enables us.

That’s why I’m concerned that so many in the Body of Christ think so lightly about Holy
Spirit. It’s almost like ‘we can do as well without Him as with Him.’ That is more than nonsense, it’s actually one of Satan’s best laid lies.

If not for the Holy Spirit, I doubt you’d be reading this. He’s the One who convicted you of your old life and turned your attention to the results of the cross. (John 16:7,8) He’s our primary teacher. (John 14:26) He knows what’s coming…the Father’s intentions not just current secular news.  (John 16:13)

In addition, God’s Spirit confirms our relationship with God. (Romans 8:16) He assists us when we pray and don’t know how to say what we want to say. (Romans 8:26,27) He gives divine boldness to witness and share your own salvation story. (Acts 1:8) And he transforms your character by helping grow love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control in your life. (Galatians 5:22-23)

And if you don’t need help in any of those areas, you are truly pushing on the gate of perfection! But all of us need help… Holy Spirit help.

NOW – if you believe God wants to move through the darkness and decay of our present world and reveal Himself as fully alive, in control and able to meet any need anywhere, and if you really don’t want to sit on the couch and are willing to lay aside your popcorn for this assignment, and if you see the need of Holy Spirit’s direction for this new agenda in your life…

I invite you to spend the next few weeks with me as we look at four ideas for making yourself available. Here are the words and concepts we will be looking at:

FLEXIBLE

CREATIVE

OBEDIENT

PATIENT

Please reread this post, study the Scriptures and be preparing your heart in prayer.
