Alone Again, Naturally

Don’t waste your suffering… God has great uses for it in this life and into eternity.

Many feel alone, isolated and on their own because they’re suffering in some way. God cares greatly for them.

He cares for the wildflowers that have a shelf life of mere days, and for birds that carry far less weight than humanity. (Matthew 6) He cares when our hearts are overwhelmed or broken. And he cares when we attempt to make it on our own and turn away from his strong hand and loving heart.

Not one believer in the world has been tasked with ‘going it alone.’ We all have a Father who takes the whole trip with us!

Here are some strategy verses to clear our spiritual baffles and open us up to God’s use of suffering in our lives.

“For you have been given not only the privilege of trusting in Christ but also the privilege of suffering for him.” Philippians 1:29 NLT It’s a privilege to be trusted to keep the faith while under attack! Remember, Jesus suffered greatly, yet He overcame. He will give you the same power if you ask for it.

“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28 ESV  We face some things that we don’t like, but they often are necessary for His purposes to be developed in us.

Here’s the best news: God wins and we win with Him. “You’re not the only ones plunged into these hard times. It’s the same with Christians all over the world. So keep a firm grip on the faith. The suffering won’t last forever. It won’t be long before this generous God who has great plans for us in Christ—eternal and glorious plans they are!—will have you put together and on your feet for good. He gets the last word; yes, he does.” I Peter 5:10 MSG
