How could any of us minimize the scope of God’s love at Christmas?

It’s God’s love, not his grudge, that we

bask in. In coming to us to establish a

permanent relationship, He carries no

rancor, bitterness or resentment. Every

indication proves repeatedly that his was

a liberation of love… a love so formidable

and all-encompassing that He was willing

to pay any price to make it happen.

God is welcoming you to his extravagant

Christmas party with only the purist of

intentions. He wants your love, not your

fear. He desires that you be filled with

hope, not guilt. It’s true that our

sinfulness necessitated Him coming,

but He came, not with finger pointing,

but with arms outstretched.

Welcome God’s love for you this Christmas, and don’t be embarrassed

by the lump in your throat. It’s a sure sign that you’ve gotten God’s message
